Sawmill
MacTara Limited is one of Atlantic Canada's largest producer of high quality, kiln dried dimension lumber which is currently distributed to North American markets.
The sawing operations consist of two random log lines and one stud length log line producing a wide range of products, from 1x3x6 to 2x10x16. The technologically advanced mills have an annual three-shift capacity of 210 MM Fbm.
MacTara Limited lumber is dried with two conventional and four high temperature thermal oil kilns. Lumber is then finished to NLGA / MLB standards in one of two planers.
