MacTara Limited currently houses the largest bark pellet mill in North America. Constructed in 1998, the mill has a capacity to produce up to 120,000 metric tons of wood fuel pellets annually depending on the moisture content and type of fibre supply it utilizes.
Fulghum Fibrefuels provides Europe with the custom wood fuel pellets produced by MacTara Limited. The wood fuel pellets are mainly used by power and central heating plants however there is increasing demand domestically where they can be used in green houses and other forms of commercial and residential applications.
Along with this pellet mill, MacTara Limited continues to look for opportunities for new mills recognizing the increasing demand for environmentally friendly fuel choices.
